California Theatre. Spanish Colonial Revival. 1927. John Paxton Perrine.  On the chopping block for demolition, the California Theatre, known when opened as 'the cathedral of the motion picture' is  located in downtown San Diego. It has a colorful past, with a sad ending. I wanted to capture the exterior with as few of the gates and fencing that surround it as possible.

Theres no way to really get inside, as there is now 24 hour security onsite... although, this might be a job for a drone... couldn't help but post that last one, as I think there was a message for me!
